Oska Bright Film Festival has partnered with Lighthouse to launch a 12-month mentoring programme for emerging members of its programming team, strengthening career pathways in the film industry

We’re looking for a committed, energetic and organised individual to join our team as a Programme Assistant to support our youth creative development programmes.

Our 2025–26 cohort is halfway through their six-month creative journey, exploring music, film, game design, photography, and more, building skills, personal projects, and a collaborative vision for the upcoming showcase.

Our second cohort of Future Creative Leaders is stepping into power, reshaping city-centre public art spaces, and redefining what youth-led leadership looks like in the UK’s creative sector.

We are looking for four new trustees to bring fresh perspectives and expertise to our board as we enter this exciting new chapter, and help shape the future of Lighthouse.

Last month we hosted our first AI workshop for young people led by Georgia Lewis Anderson, Omar Karim and Ben Kahn. We discussed our thoughts and feelings about AI, the ethics surrounding it, as well as to learn and experiment creatively with AI together.

A place where art collided with activism, where the voices of young people commanded centre stage

Rather than short-term fixes, it will build long-term, inclusive pathways for young people from marginalised background.

Lighthouse launched the Brighton edition of Dreamy Place with an immersive all-day event at Fabrica.

In Spring of 2024 and 2025, our Future Creative Leaders (FCL) partnered with BUILDHOLLYWOOD to bring their striking visual statements to challenge, engage, and spark dialogue among the public, turning Brighton’s streets into an open-air canvas for ideas and activism.

In May 2025, Dred launched his debut EP Long Story Short with an immersive event at the Lighthouse Project Space that blended music, film, and storytelling.

Tosin's residency at Lighthouse provided her with the opportunity to develop the tools needed to expand the platform, including the acquisition of a scanner for digitising rare materials and consultations with industry experts on business strategy and platform development.
