Lighthouse is a Brighton-based arts charity that specialises in connecting new developments in art, technology and society. We provide an accessible programme of training, talks, exhibitions, commissions and education initiatives.

Volunteers

Junior Project Manager

We are looking for a committed and energetic individual to work closely with the Artistic Director/CEO and Lighthouse team on the development and delivery of our artistic programme. The successful candidate will  have demonstrable project management skills, some experience of working with young people in a community, youth work or education context, and be able to work efficiently across a portfolio of projects, including Viral, our youth creative development programme. As the role involves working with young people, the successful candidate will be required to undergo a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.

The Junior Project Manager will play a vital role in assisting the Artistic Director/CEO and Lighthouse team in the development and delivery of our artistic programme, by providing solid project management and coordination support. This is an ideal opportunity for someone looking to develop their project management skills in a busy arts charity, in a supportive and friendly working environment that is stimulating to work and learn in. 

Tenure: 1 year Fixed Term part-time contract
Hours: 3 days per week (22.5 hours)
Salary: £18,500 – £19,500 per annum (pro-rata)
Holidays: 25 days per annum, plus statutory public holidays (pro-rata)

Communications Manager

We are looking for a creative and ambitious individual to lead the development and delivery of an impactful and integrated Marketing, Communications and Audience Development Strategy, that enhances Lighthouse’s brand and puts audiences at the heart of everything we do. The successful candidate will play an integral role within the organisation, working closely with the Artistic Director/CEO and Lighthouse team to identify opportunities to celebrate and extend the reach of our artistic programme and other activities. Priorities of the role include: deepening, broadening and enriching engagement of existing audiences; growing and diversifying new audiences; building communities around our programmes; developing new marketing initiatives.

The Communications Manager will play a vital role in communicating and building awareness of Lighthouse’s work, brand and ethos, and drawing new audiences to our building and artistic programme, and will be responsible for managing the Communications Assistant. This is an ideal opportunity for someone looking to develop their management skills in a busy arts charity, in a supportive and friendly environment that is stimulating to work and develop in.

Tenure: Part-time permanent contract 
Hours: 3 days per week (22.5 hours)
Salary: £23,000 – £25,000 per annum (pro-rata), dependent on experience
Holidays: 25 days per annum, plus statutory public holidays (pro-rata)
