Brian Falconer – Producer

Brian is a Belfast-based, BAFTA-winning film producer. Originally from an engineering background, he worked as assistant general manager of a SPV company managing PFI contracts. In 2014 he produced five short films including Boogaloo and Graham, the BAFTA-winning, Academy Award nominated and IFTA nominated live action short, and Insulin and Awaydays, two prequel short films for the dystopian feature thriller, The Survivalist.

As one of Northern Ireland’s top emerging producers, Brian is a highly motivated, disciplined, organised filmmaker who brings a unique approach to the problem solving required as a producer, and is able to pass on his energy and enthusiasm to co-collaborators, cast and crew alike.

He currently has four feature films in development including Normal People – written by acclaimed Belfast playwright Owen McCafferty and to be directed by Lisa Barros D’Sa and Glenn Leyburn (co-directors of Good Vibrations).

Brian has recently signed up to horror film The Veils. This will be directed by Jake West (who directed Dog House) and shot in winter 2015 in Northern Ireland. Co-founder of production company Out of Orbit, Brian is also developing a slate of feature and television projects.
