With the explosion of interest in immersive creativity, the way we are experiencing music, art and drama is changing. Electronic music producer and AV artist Halina Rice uses elements of spatial audio, impactful visuals and bespoke light show to create unique immersive experiences - described as "part rave, part art-happening".
Working with The Old Market she will be presenting an installation and performance with 360 visuals and immersive sound by L-Acoustics. In this session she will talk through her process, give a ‘behind the scenes’ view of the technologies used in her performances as well as live demonstrations - with a view to inspiring attendees to consider DIY ways to bring immersive aspects to their own projects.

An understanding of setting up and controlling basic DMX lighting rigs from a DAW

About the artist
Halina Rice is an electronic music producer and AV artist pushing the boundaries of innovation and has drawn commendations from publications such as Clash, Decoded, Magnetic Magazine and Electronic Sound.
In 2020 Rice launched the NEW WORLDS project – which comprised both music and the creation of a virtual environments in which Rice performed live as a digital projection. Sophomore album ELISION was released by Injazero Records in September 2022 described by Electronic Sound Magazine as "a captivating glimpse of her eclectic sound world". With previous sold out shows across the UK - as well as performances in the metaverse - Rice seeks to inspire audiences by uniting music, art and technology to deliver a mesmerising experience.
