An exciting selection of new work from University of Brighton MA and BA 2008 degree shows, highlighting new talent working in screen-based and digital media art. The event featured new work from: Juliette Buss, Betsy Dadd, Clara Garcia Fraile and Chantelle Shekyls.
All distinctive pieces with relative qualities that brought the work together, the use of sound (or lack of it) to create atmosphere, the exploration of textural/sensorial qualities within the subject matter, and the significance of human presence or involvement in completing the work.
After the screening, there was an opportunity to speak with the artists about their work, and to hear their thoughts and concepts in creating these final pieces.
