"…combines all my favourite things about games - play, interactivity, performance, cleverness, technology, participation" - The Guardian

Join Hide&Seek at Lighthouse for an evening of social games & playful experiences; where artists experiment with game design to create new ways of being together.
Expect negotiation, sneaking, making, theatre, treachery, and fun. The Sandpit is a monthly London event for players to try out new experiences, and for artists and game designers to develop their ideas. The Sandpit Tour takes some of the best games developed over the past year of the Sandpit, and then takes them cross country to ten UK cities.

Highlights include Scoop! a new game developed with the Sandpit community & NESTA; Trap Street, a fantastical map built up by participants over the night; Standoff, a game of negotiation and betrayal among thieves; and Moveyhouse, a happening that takes place in a cinema. Each event will also feature work developed by a local maker, with the support of Hide&Seek.

Come along to run or hide, discuss or deceive, watch carefully or jump straight in; and see whether our games can change the way you see your city.

Digiville is our monthly event for digital and moving image artists. Each event incorporates a diverse cross-section of the digital arts community, from installation artists to animators and VJs, and involves an initial presentation of work, either by individual artists or artist groups, followed by a Q&A/discussion session. The artists invited to present their work or perform are a careful mix of well-known names and less established artists.

Contact us to join our mailing list and receive details of our events as they become available.
