DIALOGUE OF THE DOGS
Inspired by the short story by Miguel de Cervantes,
Dialogue of the Dogs sets out to be a poem about weaknesses of
human nature and the beauty of one of its achievements - the language
of reasoning - spoken and discussed by two dogs. The work, at
once grotesque and humourous, unfolds in the space between the
still and the moving image.
Sigune Hamann has worked as an interdisciplinary artist since she
graduated from the Royal College of Art. Her work includes experimental
photography and film projects, 3D design for the performing arts,
architecture and animations for the internet and television. Another
of her pieces, Nothing but the Truth, commissioned by Lighthouse
as part of the BABEL series and funded by the Arts Council, can
be seen in the Artists’
Work section of this site.
Dialogue of the Dogs was financially supported by Lighthouse through
our Arts Council of England Breakthrough Award.
