STREAMING FOR THE CULTURAL SECTOR– Cinematic Ventures & Beginner’s Technical Walkthrough

LIGHTHOUSE IS PRODUCING A TRILOGY OF SEMINARS COLLECTIVELY LOOKING AT STREAMING MEDIA IN THE ARTS SECTOR. AFTER THE HUGE SUCCESS OF OUR SELL-OUT SEPTEMBER SEMINAR, WE ARE NOW TAKING BOOKINGS FOR THE FOLLOW-UP SEMINAR ON NOVEMBER 21ST, AS PART OF CINECITY.

The three seminars will collectively look at online streaming across the cultural sector.

This second session – part of Cinecity – included a series of presentations and a technical walkthrough from leading industry practitioners:

Lyn Goleby, Managing Director of Picturehouse Cinemas , will be talking about the exhibitor’s live streaming ventures.

Dominic Smith, Digital Media Projects Manager at Tyneside Cinema, will speak about Pixel Palace, the cinema’s digital arts and new media programme.

Joe Coyne, Managing Director of FatSand Films, an online video production company based in Brighton, will lead a practical seminar on live streaming. This technical walk-through will introduce the language and tools of live-streaming and be followed by a practical demonstration

Fintan Gillespie, Industry Manager at Google and Lead for the Youtube for Non-Profits programme in the UK, will talk about streaming options for organisations on Youtube channels and other google platforms.

The seminars have been made possible by support from Arts Council England. The events are aimed at the UK arts sector.
