Lighthouse is pleased to be hosting this workshop in partnership with The Open University and Ministry of Stories. The workshop will be led by Christian Payne, aka @documentally, a mobile media maker specialising in social technology and connected platforms. Read more at Assisting, will be Jane Matthews, formerly Head of Stakeholder Engagement at The Open University.

From pitching ideas and communicating our work, through to sharing our interests, storytelling is the vehicle we use. We are made of stories – whether we are using them to entertain, explain, educate or engage.

A chance to update and sharpen your digital storymaking skills for professional use, to promote your passions, or just for fun. Using your mobile phone or tablet device we will be using the latest tools and platforms for documenting and sharing, connecting and curating.

Among the skills practice are:

· using a range of storymaking tools and apps
· taking better photos with your mobile device
· recoding and sharing audio
· capturing and sharing video
· geotagging your location
· integrating a range of multimedia channels into your story
· curating and sharing your content online.
