PROTOTYPING SHOW AND TELL WITH SEB LEE-DELISLE
THURSDAY 28 AUGUST 2014
Join us for a lunchtime demonstration of Seb Lee-Delisle's Brighton Digital Festival commission Laser Light Synths
Lighthouse Studio resident Seb Lee-Delisle will be talking about his forthcoming work for Brighton Digital Festival, a live musical installation played by the crowd, to be installed on New Road. The piece, Laser Light Synths, promises to be lively and exciting – and involve lasers!
The interactive installation allows members of the public to become musicians using bespoke touch-activated musical instruments filled with hundreds of high power LED lights. As you play, the sounds trigger a laser light spectacle, running up the columns of the Unitarian Church. During the Laser Light Synths experience, whilst some participants play the instrument, others can enjoy a unique sound-activated laser light show, mapped onto the neo-classical facade of the Unitarian Church. We’ve been told he’ll be bringing the most powerful lasers he can to Brighton.
We need your help to prototype the work-in-progress. We’re hosting a prototyping session in the run up to the launch of the festival, when this work will be premiered. We’ll also be providing lunch, so join us in what promises to be a fantastic event.
This event is free but spaces are limited. To book a place, email Jenny Lindop firstname.lastname@example.org
Dates: Thursday 28 August
Location: Lighthouse, 28 Kensington Street, BN1 4AJ
