Make a paper electronics speaker in this workshop led by Lighthouse Studio resident Coralie Gourguechon

Ever wanted to try your hand at electronics? Join us for an afternoon of cutting, sticking and making that will teach you all you'll need to know to make your own paper electronics.

Over the course of the session, you will be making a speaker on paper, using materials such as conductive tape, chips and magnets. Coralie Gourguechon will introduce a few folding principles which will allow you to experiment with paper electronic interactions, and build a simple electronic project using craft materials.

This workshop will give you an introduction to the possibilities offered by printable and flexible electronics, which could change the way we conceive, manufacture and interact with electronic and digital devices.

Lighthouse Studio will provide the tools and materials you need to complete the project. You’re free to take your paper speaker home with you after the workshop too, where you can adapt and change your speaker with the knowledge you’ll learn during the session. You’ll also have the opportunity to take one of our supplied amplifier circuits or magnets too, for a small fee to cover material costs.

Note: Please bring a phone, MP3 player, or other audio device with a headphone jack.
