The 2018 Digital Media Arts MA graduate show is titled Insight and features a variety of specialisms and interdisciplinary approaches including 3D Modelling, Virtual Reality, Augmented Reality and Interactive Installation Art. This year’s artists are investigating themes including historic and cultural narrative, accessibility and censorship, self-identity and gender performativity. The work aims to stimulate, educate and entertain people within the context of Brighton’s unique cultural heritage.

ARTISTS

BI YALINARTIST
Chinese illustrator and moving image artist investigating cross-platform storytelling with traditional folk stories.

BECKY LU – INTERACTIVE DIGITAL ARTIST
Illustrator and screen-printer with a growing interest in immersive, interactive design and narrative using cross-specialism techniques.

JUDITH RICKETTSARTIST
Photographer, filmmaker, and coder developing a creative practice informed by a critical engagement with the city in relation to enforced, economic and political migration such as the transatlantic slave trade, the European migrant crisis and events such as Brexit.

LEONARDO LAMIDIGITAL ARTIST
Italian digital artist and video maker working in theatre, fashion and art exploring user behaviour and fragmentation of digital image.

ALEX SIMMONDSMULTIMEDIA CREATIVE
Multimedia creative with a background in animation and video production passionate about web development.

ADEM TÜRKDOĞAN – DIGITAL ARTIST
Cypriot visual communication designer with an interest in education and cultural heritage.

ALEKSANDRA PUSZCZEWICZCREATIVE
Polish-born creative experienced in film production, visual storytelling and scenic design. Particularly fascinated by the use of aesthetics in visual arts.
