LAST DANCE: PRODUCERGIRLS WORKSHOP

BEGINNER LEVEL ELECTRONIC MUSIC MAKING FOR GIRLS

10 MARCH 2018
LIGHTHOUSE, BRIGHTON

EXPERT ADVICE, TIPS AND FREE SOFTWARE

Learn to produce and mix music in this beginners workshop, run by London-based Producergirls at Lighthouse, as part of our Last Dance programme.

Aimed at those just starting out, participants will learn how to use Ableton software to create drum beats, build melodies and baselines, learn how to arrange songs, and add effects.

Producergirls was founded by London-based producer and DJ, E.M.M.A., in 2016, alongside fellow producers P Jam, Dexplicit, Ikonika and Nightwave, to encourage more young women to take up electronic music production. Brighton-based Lara Rix-Martin and Etch will also join for this session.

“I’ve built a dream team of amazing producers. Everyone will get free access to software so that they can hit the ground running to develop their sound and make some tunes!" – E.M.M.A.

Please note that you need to apply for this workshop on the Producergirls website by Monday 26 February and will be notified by Producergirls if you have been given a place, from Friday 2 March. You will need to download Ableton Intro before the event, and information about how to do that will be sent to you once you have been registered. On the day, please bring headphones, a laptop and power cable.
