Exploring storytelling and character development participants will design their own comic book story, turning personal identity into a space odyssey. Participants will receive guidance on how to design and draw an exaggerated self-portrait that would fit into the style of Manga (Japanese comic book illustration), with the assistance of professional Manga artist Inko.

The workshop is inspired by Blandy’s exhibition Odysseys exhibition at Phoenix Brighton, which explores comic book culture and identity.
All drawing materials will be included as part of the workshop. Please bring your own notebook to make notes.
