Lighthouse is pleased to be hosting a Scratch workshop for people who would like to volunteer for Kids Code Club but don’t know how to use Scratch. This workshop is also suitable for people that have already volunteered and partnered with a school but want to brush up on their Scratch skills.

At the workshop participants will run through the Scratch interface and then complete a couple of Code Club projects to get a good feel for the software and work.

The session is two hours long and refreshments will be provided in the break.

If participants don’t have to rush off at the end of the workshop there will be drinks in the pub afterwards.

Code Club are about connecting talented computer programmers with their local schools and providing them with the materials they need to help kids learn to code. It is a nationwide network of volunteer-led after school coding clubs for children aged 9-11.
