Produced by New Writing South, this one-day industry event offers writers the chance to hear from high-profile screenwriters, producers and development executives working in film and TV.

The day features four talks. In the first of the morning sessions, producer Stevie Lee (Runaway Fridge Productions) and screenwriter Peter Straughan (Tinker, Taylor, Soldier Spy, The Men Who Stare at Goats) talk about their collaboration on feature film Frank for Film4. In the second, screenwriters Robin Mukherjee (Lore), Sarah Phelps (And Then There Were NoneBBC), and Anna Symon (Indian Summers – Channel 4) discuss adapting work for the screen.

Afternoon sessions focus on how to pitch, with David Pope, Director of Advance Films, and the experience and opportunities available to new writers at the BBC Writersroom, with its Development Executive, Ros Ward.
