Make your own Rudolph the LED-nosed reindeer card at this Christmas Code Club

Who said drinks and electricity don't mix? We were joined by some Christmas creatives for an evening of wine, mince pies and flashy lights. This half-workshop, half-party was the perfect event for those looking for a gentle introduction to electronics. Local technologist, Natalia Buckley was be on hand to help make the cards light up.

We made super-awesome cards with a little LED lights in them using conductive paint. There was mulled wine, mince pies and all the materials we needed to make the Christmas cards sparkle.

We had a whole lot of fun and to top that good feeling, all the proceeds went to Rockinghorse, the Brighton-based charity which has been supporting children for over 40 years. Win-win.

Natalia Buckley is a creative technologist, designer, developer, maker, and tinkerer. She came to the Lighthouse for the Happenstance project, during which she built Offbott with James Bridle. After that, she found it too hard to leave, so she stayed in the office and takes care of the Lighthouse’s website.

Date: Wednesday 5 December 2012

Time: 6pm – 8pm

Venue: Lighthouse, 28 Kensington Street, Brighton BN1 4AJ
