DV Fundamentals: The Essential Guide to Shooting on Digital Video

For anyone wanting to familiarise themselves with digital cameras and to understand the principles of shooting on DV. This intensive hands-on course will address the technical, practical and creative aspects of filming on digital video. The course will begin with an introduction to operating digital cameras, including manual operation of the iris, focus, white balance and sound levels, through a series of practical exercises incorporating interior and exterior filming. Participants will then progress to planning a shoot, drawing up a storyboard and filming a sequence, which will be shown and discussed with the group at the end of the second day.
