INTRODUCTION
TO SCREENWRITING
The syllabus for this course was commissioned
by the UK Film Council to provide writers with foundation skills
in screenwriting. It forms part of an integrated approach to the
provision of skills for the audio-visual industries.
The course tutor is Ian Skelton. Ian has an M.A. in Screenwriting and Screen Research from Phil Parker's course at the London Institute. Since graduating he has worked in Film, T.V., Radio and Theatre.
Ian has been a Script Reader for the Irish Film Board, a Development Producer for Brighton's Pier Productions and a Writer and Researcher on BBC TV's 'This Is Your Life'.
As a writer of original drama, Ian had a feature script funded by the UK Film Council and is currently working with several directors on film projects. He has had two full length plays produced by the Gala Theatre in Durham and won the BBC/Live Theatre Short Fuse award.
Introduction to Screenwriting - 20 week evening course

On: Tuesday evenings from 6.30-8.30pm
Starting: 23rd September, and ending on 3rd March (please note there will be no course on 28th October, 23rd and 30th December, 17th February to allow for school holidays)
