Last week the Lighthouse gang went along to The Story conference in London, an annual event run by Matt Locke of Storythings. This year’s edition was brilliant and inspiring, featuring an eclectic programme of talks by artists, musicians, writers, directors and producers, each with stories about their work and passions.

David Blandy writes about the beginnings of his residency at Lighthouse in which he will collaborate and work on projects that explore the discovery of DNA and metaphorical space exploration. His Studio will be open to visitors throughout Brighton Science Festival
Following an intensive selection process, with over 310 applications received from writers, directors and producers across the UK and Ireland, Lighthouse and Creative Skillset are delighted to reveal the twelve candidates selected for Guiding Lights 2013. For a second year running, we are also partnering with Bord Scannán na hÉireann/the Irish Film Board (IFB) and Screen Training Ireland to include two Irish filmmakers.
We are thrilled to announce that Lighthouse is one of the co-producers of a new film that documents the creation of The International Space Orchestra by experience designer, Nelly Ben-Hayoun.
