Throughout the ninth edition of our film mentoring programme, Guiding Lights, the mentees are writing about their journeys and experiences. In July, the group went to Galway Film Fleadh where they took part in industry events, a masterclass, and pitched projects at the Marketplace. It’s been a busy and successful year for the 17 film directors, producers, writers and exhibitors who took part in the eighth edition of Guiding Lights during 2016-2017. We look back at their recent achievements and exciting new projects, and hear about their highlights from the scheme.
For three weeks in March, we were joined by Dr Wen Wen from Shenzhen University as part of the Hello Shenzhen bilateral exchange programme, which aims to build stronger links between UK and Chinese making practices.
