Lighthouse announces new Creative Producer

We're delighted to announce that Andrew Sleigh has joined Lighthouse in the key role of Creative Producer.

Starting in August 2013, Andrew will play a leading role in the development and production of Lighthouse’s programmes of digital culture and art, including a major new interdisciplinary studio, to be launched in 2014.

Andrew is a creative producer with a background in design, web technology, connected communities, and making. Before joining Lighthouse, Andrew was Head of Strategy at digital agency Worth, before leading a number of highly successful projects as a digital strategy consultant. He is a founding Director of Brighton Mini Maker Faire, part of Brighton Digital Festival and recently co-founded Hardware Startup, a network for hardware makers and entrepreneurs.

Andrew joins Lighthouse at an exciting time of evolution and will be a dynamic addition to the team.

His interest is in “the opportunities opened up by ubiquitous access to digital tools, and the power of networked communities to innovate, create and effect change.”

Andrew says “I’m very excited to be joining Lighthouse to work on a new project at the heart of the programme. The interdisciplinary studio will be a new collaborative project in which artists, makers, designers, technologists and other creatives come together to — in the words of Alan Kay — invent the future.
