INTRODUCING: YONEDA LEMMA

02 September 2015

The Long Progress Bar is our new festival of radical imagination, taking place this September as part of Brighton Digital Festival. In this Introducing... series of articles, Juha, the curator, tells us more about the global artists and innovators he has invited to participate. First up is musician Yoneda Lemma, who is set to perform live on Day 1.

Who?
Yoneda Lemma, electronic music producer.

Why?
She’s an incredible producer of what she describes on her Soundcloud profile as “music for abstraction (to break away)." Her music was handed to me by our first Progress Bar guest TCF in March 2015. She’s an archaeologist, a philosopher and a musician, who is able to navigate the geology of her mind to produce different substrates of knowledge and creativity: whether it is beautiful, intellectual thought, or inventive, poetic composition. The result is a magical and hazy music that could almost be listened to as the hopeful counterbalance to the melancholic work of London-based electronic musician Burial.

What?
A live performance in the evening of day 1, on the same bill as Jam City.

Yoneda Lemma will perform at The Long Progress Bar on Thursday 3 September 2015.

THE FULL DAY IS NOW SOLD OUT. BUY A TICKET FOR THE EVENING LIVE MUSIC PERFORMANCE ONLY HERE:
