Installing the Trevor Paglen Show
03 October 2012
We are in the midst of installing our new exhibition by Trevor Paglen, and Lighthouse has been transformed for the occasion. by Honor Harger
The show is part of Brighton Photo Biennial 2012, which this year explores The Politics of Space.
Resonating perfectly with both the Biennial theme and Lighthouse’s yearly programme theme, Uncharted Territories, Geographies of Seeing explores the secret activities of the U.S. military and intelligence agencies, allowing us to experience unmapped territories which are normally hidden from view.
Our brilliant technician, Phil Richards, has overseen the construction of a series of walls in Lighthouse’s foyer areas which has transformed the space into a gallery. Our art-handler, David Miles, and Phil are working hard on the install now.
Lighthouse are thrilled to be working with Trevor Paglen again, after presenting his work at the Invisible Fields exhibition in Barcelona earlier this year.
It is first ever UK solo show.
The exhibition preview is this Friday 5 October at 6pm. And the show opens t the public on Saturday 6 october.
