Guiding Lights 2013 - update
10 January 2013
We're delighted to announce that we've selected 12 new recruits to the Guiding Lights scheme.
In response to a call-out issued in September, over 310 submissions were received for this year’s scheme. Following an intensive assessment period, just under 40 candidates were interviewed, with 12 participants then selected from one of the strongest years yet. A huge thank you to everyone who applied!
The Guiding Lights team were truly inspired by the level of talent, commitment and achievement demonstrated by all the individuals they met, and excited to see the excellent quality and range of work being produced.
We’re also very pleased to be working with the Irish Film Board and FÁS Screen Training Ireland again this year, whose support means that the scheme will include another two Irish filmmakers alongside the 10 UK participants. A highlight during the assessment process was a day of interviews in Dublin, where the team received a warm welcome and met an exceptionally talented group of candidates.
Much excitement lies ahead as we gear up to announce the names of the 12 new recruits at the end of this month. Please watch this space for further updates!
