BFI Shorts 2012 - Crocodile
08 March 2013
Lighthouse and the BFI are delighted to announce the inclusion of Crocodile to the BFI Shorts slate. A powerful and thought provoking drama, Crocodile tells the story of Simon, a bereaved Headmaster who fights a crocodile.
Written by award-winning playwright and television writer Robin French, Crocodile will be directed by Gaëlle Denis, whose previous work has won multiple international film festival awards including a BAFTA. Ohna Falby, who recently produced a series of shorts commissioned by Bombay Sapphire, is producing the film through her company Life to Live Films. Zorana Piggott of 011 Productions is also attached as producer.
Selected and greenlit along with the other 16 films on the BFI Shorts 2012 slate, announced in September, the project encountered a temporary setback due to changes within the original team line-up. As with the other projects on the slate, Crocodile is a compelling story which was selected for the team’s strength, ambition and artistic vision.
