Guiding Lights had a great trip to sunny Galway last week for the excellent Film Fleadh, and took part in a packed schedule of screenings, meetings and intensive networking. The twelve programme participants received a truly Irish welcome from the festival team, who made sure everyone got the most out of their stay. By Sian Habell-Aili.
Following an intensive selection process, with over 310 applications received from writers, directors and producers across the UK and Ireland, Lighthouse and Creative Skillset are delighted to reveal the twelve candidates selected for Guiding Lights 2013. For a second year running, we are also partnering with Bord Scannán na hÉireann/the Irish Film Board (IFB) and Screen Training Ireland to include two Irish filmmakers.
In partnership with FÁS Screen Training Ireland and Bórd Scannánna hÉireann/Irish Film Board we are pleased to be able to offer support for two eligible Irish applicants to participate in the next edition of Guiding Lights. We are now accepting applications from Irish writers and directors and will select one from each discipline.
